App for Warehouse Staff

Helps warehouse staff pick, pack and deliver sale bills, with crate tracking so that packers and checkers can tell which crate on the floor belongs to which bill.

Features

  • List of bills ready for picking, packing or delivery
  • Crate tracking — scan one or more physical crates against a bill while picking
  • Flag item-level issues (missing stock, wrong rate, wrong batch, short quantity, other) while picking
  • Scan any crate at any time to instantly look up which bill it belongs to

1. Start Picking

  1. On the home screen, tap Pick. This shows all bills that are ready for picking.
  2. Tap a bill to select it, then tap Start Pick.
  3. The camera opens — scan the barcode/QR sticker on the crate you'll use for this bill.
  4. Once scanned, picking begins. The bill moves to Picking in Progress and shows your name, so other staff know who is picking it.

If picking has already started for that bill, or the crate you scanned is still in use on a different bill, you'll be told which bill is holding it — grab a different crate and try again.

2. Marking Crates (one or more)

Large bills may need more than one crate.

  1. Open the bill's slip — tap View Slip from the Pick list (or continue straight from Start Pick).
  2. The top of the slip shows every crate code currently attached to this bill.
  3. Need another crate? Tap + Add Crate, then scan the new crate's sticker.
  4. The newly scanned crate joins the others shown at the top of the slip.

Only the picker who started the bill can add crates, and only while picking is still in progress.

3. Picking Items — With or Without Issues

Go down the slip item by item:

  • If an item is available and matches the bill, no action is needed — leave that row as is.
  • If an item can't be picked as billed (missing stock, wrong rate, wrong batch, short quantity, or anything else), tap the flag icon on that row:
    1. Choose the issue type.
    2. Optionally add a short note (up to 200 characters).
    3. Tap Report Issue.
    4. The row turns pink/red so the issue is visible at a glance for anyone checking the slip later.
  • Changed your mind, or fixed it? Tap the flag icon again and choose Remove Flag — this only works before you complete the pick.

4. Completing the Pick

Once every item on the slip has been checked:

  1. At the bottom of the slip, tap Mark Picked if nothing was flagged, or Picked (With Issues) if one or more items were flagged — the button updates automatically as you flag/unflag items.
  2. Confirm in the pop-up that appears.
  3. The bill leaves your Pick list. Packing/billing staff will now see it as Picked (or Picked — Issues Reported), along with the crate code(s) you scanned.

Scan Crate (quick lookup)

Tap Scan Crate on the home screen at any time to scan a crate and see which bill it's currently attached to (or that it's free to use) — no need to go through the Pick list first.
